What is Numerounity

What is Numerounity?!!!

(If you recall this was my second most post even when blogspot didn't have the concept of "pages". How pioneering of me :) Read on to refresh and reinstate!
It’s been decade that am, out and yawned with words like my space, e- world, e-desk, dear diary, meri away suno, mind over matter, juicy tomatoes, love khichdi, sprinklers- sparklers, songbirds, living miracle, soul mantra, era of something something types that I decided not to puke any one of those here.

Numerounity is a word I inspired myself, some years back from the famous “Numero Uno” which means No 1. For the uninitiated, my name is Ekta Khetan [ek’tā kh-ey-tān]. Ekta means “Unity” in Hindi. A bit remodeling makes it- Numero Unity.

If you wonder if this the name that inspired Tata sons to make their supercomputers, I must say Mendeleev heard nothing of me while predicting chemical elements...Lolz

My writings may not be refreshingly original or amusing. When I started I was not sure if I can continue blogging even after 2 posts. The sudden plague and plethora of bloggers make me even more sick. The world is already full of cliché which is like is your mother in law, you can dislike them but can’t do away with them J

I am an ambidextrous, an absolute maverick who loves to turn the conventional wisdom down and am here to stay, a friendly yuppie who has branding for breakfast, Dow Jones for lunch & social upheavelings in the evening, etc etc will also be pleasantly missing from my writings…I never claimed to be interesting!!! J

But yeah, I do love to challenge some of the common norms of society if I feel them too self imposing for my comprehension. Aw! If you get too much surprised with my sounds and think its stupid then let me suggest that searching too much for sanity, makes things around us more insane, inane and inhuman.

Wow, we sure can have way around words :)

Time for some more disclaimers?!?! I am not here to attack, counter attack, review, criticize, mud sling, whistle blowing, tune in or whatsoever you heard the blogging being trumpeted for in recent times, [unless I change my mind]…I am here to write and write all that can be written J

So, let it be normal, spontaneous and easy. Yes, cliché are very normal too. But accrediting to the brilliant tagline coined by leher PepsiCo-
“Pagalpanti bhi zaroori hai”!!!

My second novel, 'The crossover Year' was recently published and I would love it if you could participate a giveaway hosted on Goodreads. Here's what the blurb of the book says..

"Meet Sri Anuprabha, aka Anu, a twenty-nine year-old banker who is terrified of entering her thirties. She dreams of quitting her job at the bank, sporting yoga pants and traipsing around the world. Her world turns upside down when things go awry and she is faced with the prospect of spending her days watching Tamil serials. She comes up with a five-point plan for reclaiming her life back before she hits the big 30. But things are never as simple as drawing up a flowchart in real life, are they? Especially with a ghastly recession rearing its ugly head. Anu bumbles through the corridors of domesticity and travels on a fun-filled roller coaster ride in a bid to discover her passion in life. Along the way, she meets new people, experiences crazy things and learns some hard lessons in marriage, friendship, parenting and life."

  10. Hi. ,
I am a first time novelist releasing my book this month. It’s called METAMORPHING and it’s a mystery thriller. It’s being published by Leadstart under its imprint Frogbooks.

I write this to request your time to review my book. As an attempt to create buzz / interest about ‘Metamorphing’ I have cut a teaser trailer. Please have a look at it (http://youtu.be/6NC_1Nuu2J4 ) and do share your feedback. If you think this is something you would like to share with your friends and followers, please do. It will certainly help creating effective awareness.

METAMORPHING – A thrilling tale about two men bound by an untraceable yet undeniable fate - One running away from his past, another unaware of his own.

  12. Hi Ekta,

We’re “Ample Films,” a small, independent film company based in New Zealand and we’ve just finished producing “Stars In Her Eyes,” a coming of age Romantic Comedy set in Auckland, NZ. It’s a low budget feature film financed through a partnership between the director/producer Athina Tsoulis and Unitec Institute of Technology.

We have no marketing budget for the film, but have come up with an innovative strategy to attract attention through a series of YouTube character vlogs. Our aim is to generate word of mouth among Desi communities – particularly women of the Indian diaspora and ethnic communities aged 25+.

Our first character is Anousha (“Desi Girl Interrupted”), a young woman caught between family tradition and modern, Western life who has never been on a date, let alone kissed a boy. Encouraged by the advice and promiscuous exploits of her best friend Jay, Anousha decides to take matters into her own hands.

“Desi Girl Interrupted” will post once a week via YouTube over the next couple of months leading up towards the release of the film and we would love it if you could help us to spread word about her videos to your followers. We can readily keep you in touch with her posts each week and supply you with any other copy or detail you may need.

Help us to help “Desi Girl Interrupted” get a life J

    Thanks for your support,

So many confusing parts to my life…
