The Backyard Dog

October 13, 2013 , 56 Comments

Two oceans peeped behind woods,
dark, blue and winsome
carrying sea of emotion
sniffing, snorting undone

panting behind the wooden moss
abandoned & aloof
woof! he is a backyard dog

Gasps the wind rattles by
his nostrils flared
and turned wide

Bearing a "knock" in his heart
a lump in his throat
he awaits some love
tap a pat on his head

he whines n withdrew back
his paws, stuck in sand
Thud, he stumped the fence
grumbled, made some noise
he banged it again
slammed and splash
he wanted someone to hear his unspoken voice

He stood alone
battling all crackling storm
waiting some fine breeze
a place to call his home
He was the backyard dog!

Life is strange
a dog is human's best friend
when human is human' own enemy
his own tyranny, own fiend.

Empty eyes seeks some respite
world is crowded with people
we are lonely in spite.

  9. They express stress. They are lonely and looking for some attention or companionship. Even if we come out yell, they will be happy because somebody is paying attention.
