Cafe Review: Cocoa House
I am a foodie who love to explore new places, tasting various cuisines and love a good company. So when my friend Pawan Soni from Indian Food Freak invited me to meet for a dinner cum review at the newly opened Cocoa House in Galleria, I resisted all my "just back from a travel, fatigue" and joined him.
Cocoa house is a 'Perfect Cafe Bakery', serving freshly baked cookies, cakes & brownies. It also serves delicious delicatessens from Italian, Lebanese, Continental, Thai & Asian cuisines.
Location: The restaurant is well located at the heart of Gurgaon city at Phase 4 Galleria Mall.
Ambiance: Well lit, cozy and interesting.
The food that we tasted-
Starters-Super Nachos- Mexican Nachos topped with melted Grated Mozzarella and served with fresh Tomato Salsa & Sour Cream
Main course- An Italian classic Panini, Chicken Pesto Panini, Penne Arabiatta, Egg Benedict with Hollandaise sauce and Cheese Cottage Steaks
Drinks- ABC (Apple Beetroot Carrot Juice and Mojito)
Desserts- Fig & Honey ice cream with Chocolate Lava cake.
The food was definitely worth the attention. Ingredients, presentation and taste was just fine except for the desserts which were though ambitious in nature but owing to lack of sufficient serving time, couldn't set as perfect as they should be.
We started with Super Nachos- a sinful combination for all Nacho lovers who like their Nachos Hot and well decked up. The Sour cream and Salsa served as a good companion. The drinks were fresh and wholesome. Pasta were well cooked and quantity was large enough. The Al Dante aspect of it was quite maintained and they were well chew-able. My favorite of the lot was the Classic Italian Panini and surprisingly I had a good Garlic bread after a long time.
We tried and ordered the food in small portions so that we can cover a wider variety and the best part was that the admin team accommodated our request as well. Click here for detailed Menu.
Yes, I would like to visit them again and try more from the oriental menu. Let's hope I get to do so soon.
